Steele (Cibolo, Texas) received a huge boost from its defense against King (Corpus Christi, Texas), as the unit scored 12 in defeating King (Corpus Christi, Texas), 54-14.

Steele expanded its lead to 40 points entering the fourth quarter. SHS scored three times in the third, including once on a defensive touchdown.
With the win the Cibolo school extended its winning streak to six games. The Knights defeated the Rattlers 42-14 last week.
Steele's standout player in the win was McCollum. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns.
Coming into the game SHS had allowed 19.4 points per game this year.
King (3-3) goes up against Carroll in a 5A Region IV District 28 game matchup next week, while Steele (6-0) locks horns with South San Antonio also in a 5A Region IV District 28 game.
