After flying high against the Frederick Fraize Aces  last Monday, the Hancock County Hornets came back down to earth. Hancock County suffered a  rough 60-37 loss at the hands of Breckinridge County  on Friday. Hancock County lost against Breckinridge County in their previous head to head  back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the  70-57 score last time.
 Breckinridge County found their leader in underclassman  Elizabeth Grimes, who  scored 18 points along with six  steals. Those six  steals set a new season-high mark for her.  Kayleigh Huffines was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with eight  rebounds and three  steals.
 Hancock County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Breckinridge County, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with that  victory, which was their 11th straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Hancock County will head out on the road to face off against Marshall County at 2:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Marshall County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hancock County in Kentucky (Marshall County is ranked 20th, while Hancock County is ranked 158th). Breckinridge County will take on Butler in a holiday battle at 7:15  p.m.  on Wednesday at.
