Wes Burford Delivers Best  Performance of Season
 On Friday, Oakdale got the W thanks in part to  Wes Burford playing the best football he has all season. Burford rushed for 381 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per carry, good enough to  set a new career-high in  rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere:  he has now  rushed for 143 or more in the last seven games he's  played dating back to last season.
 The  win (which was Oakdale's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Burford will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Central Catholic on Friday.

Another Game with at Least Three  Passing Touchdowns from  Max Medina
 Patterson came up short  on Friday despite  Max Medina delivering his best game to date. Medina wasn't messing around, throwing for 338 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The  match was his third straight with three or   more passing touchdowns dating back to last season.
 For the year,  Medina  has thrown 22 touchdowns while averaging 273.5 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year,  he was only averaging 10.63  rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 34.25  rushing yards.

Carter Meeks Has Career-Day  on Friday
 On Friday, Central Catholic got the W thanks in part to  Carter Meeks playing the best football he has all season. Meeks rushed for 135 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, good enough to  set a new career-high in  rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
 Meeks and Central Catholic will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Oakdale  at 7:00  p.m. The  match will pit Meeks up against  the Mustangs' star running back  Wes Burford. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Coby Joseph Turns in Season-Best  Effort
 Patterson came up short  on Friday despite  Coby Joseph delivering his best game to date. Joseph rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
 This year,  Joseph  has run in  those 2 touchdowns while averaging 73.2 rushing yards per game.

Chase Lopez and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
  Chase Lopez's big game helped extend Oakdale's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop  Lopez as he rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.
 This year,  Lopez  has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 107.7 rushing yards per game. He's  made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year,  he was only averaging 0.57  rushing yards per game.
