The Bishop Carroll Huskies pushed their score all the way to 71 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 81-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of Forest Hills. Bishop Carroll has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Bishop Carroll still got an impressive performance from Luke Repko, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Repko has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Alexander, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Forest Hills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nathan Gabany, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gabany has scored all season. Si McGough was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds.
Bishop Carroll has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Forest Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
Bishop Carroll will head out on the road to face off against Central Cambria at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Central Cambria focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Friday. As for Forest Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Penn Cambria at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Penn Cambria has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
