Basketball Recap: Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep won against Sunset last Friday with 62 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep walked away with a 62-53 victory over Prestonwood Christian North. The win was nothing new for Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep as they're now sitting on three straight.

Despite the defeat, Prestonwood Christian North saw an underclassman step up: freshman Brandon Henry went 6 of 12 on his way to 13 points along with seven assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Hill, who went 6 of 14 en route to 15 points.

Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Prestonwood Christian North, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep and Legacy Christian Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 1:30 p.m. on December 19th. Legacy Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep likes a good challenge. Prestonwood Christian North has already played their next game, a 72-42 defeat against Christian Life Preparatory on the 12th.
