After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Legacy, Garfield was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Marshall Barristers as they made off with a 17-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Nadia Carrillo made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madilyn Mu?oz, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Sofia Frias was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.
