Howard is 0-1 against Griffin since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Howard Huskies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Griffin Bears at 7:30 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
Howard pushed their score all the way to 34 two weeks ago, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spalding. While losing is never fun, Howard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Spalding is ranked 41st).
The losing side was boosted by Camareon (cam) taylor, who threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.
Meanwhile, Griffin came up short against Westside on Thursday and fell 29-16.
Although Griffin took the loss, they still got scores from Khameron Mcdowell and Delreon Cleveland.
The losses dropped Howard to 3-4 and Griffin to 1-7.
Howard lost to Griffin at home by a decisive 35-16 margin when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Howard have more luck at home instead of on the road?
