They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 46-26 walloping at the hands of Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot on Friday. Amelia Academy has struggled against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Amelia Academy still got an impressive performance from Isabella Arbitelle, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 57.7% of Amelia Academy's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lily Hickey, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Redlich, who scored six points along with 16 rebounds.
Amelia Academy bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.
Amelia Academy will head out on the road to face off against Kenston Forest at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grove Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Grove Christian School's defense has only allowed 26 points per game this season, so Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's offense will have their work cut out for them.
