North Florida Christian extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Christ's Church Academy. They blew past Christ's Church Academy 13-3. The result was nothing new for North Florida Christian, who have now won eight matches by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Gabrielle Hughes and  Skylar Young made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Hughes   tossed 3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Young   tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   two  hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. At the plate,  Hughes  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run, while  Young  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  runs  Young has posted since back in April.
 In other batting news,  Lila Riggan was  incredible,  going 4-for-5 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Hayden Stone was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 North Florida Christian  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 16  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
North Florida Christian has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Christ's Church Academy,  with the  defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-8.
 Coming up, North Florida Christian will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against St. John Paul II  at 4:30  p.m. The Panthers will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. Christ's Church Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
