Baseball Recap: Pryor Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Pryor won the last time they faced Shawnee and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 7-3.

Brock Ward spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Clinton Stohler was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Riley Hurst, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Pryor is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. As for Shawnee, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-19 record.

Pryor has already played their next contest, a 9-6 win against Midwest City on the 18th. As for Shawnee, they will face off against Edison at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
