Arroyo Grande fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Bullard on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 8-7. Ella Stennett (2025) was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Ariana Olivas (2028), who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Meanwhile, Lompoc came into Monday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let Taft get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Braves considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Lily Drysol made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Teagan Thompson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Rianna Stouppe was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Arroyo Grande hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Lompoc struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Arroyo Grande couldn't quite get it done against Lompoc in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 6-3. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
