Wheeler has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will venture away from home to  challenge the Kell Longhorns  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Everything went Wheeler's way against Marietta on Thursday as Wheeler made off with  a  13-1 win. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
  Emily Jansen made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Kayla Hutchinson was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with five  RBI, three  runs, and two  doubles. That's the most  hits  she has posted since  back in August. Another player making a difference was  Jada Charlton, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Wheeler  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .567. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're  OBP total in three consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile, Kell had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp  10-3 win. The Longhorns might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven  runs or more this season.
 Wheeler's victory  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 6-8. As for Kell, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record  this season.
 Wheeler suffered a grim  12-0 defeat to Kell  in their previous meeting  back in August of 2017. Can Wheeler avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
