Volleyball Recap: West Fork Extends Winning Streak to Four

West Fork extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping them up to 8-2. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Bridge City Cardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Gators have posted since October 15, 2024.

West Fork's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Lewis led the charge by getting 22 digs. That's the most digs Lewis has posted over her last ten contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Lewis, who had 19 assists and two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bridge City fell to 9-1. The match marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Defeat or not, Bridge City got some senior leadership from Presley Ducote and Kaylee Britten. Ducote had 11 digs and four aces, while Britten had 13 digs and five assists. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Ducote.

West Fork wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against New Caney on the 19th. As for Bridge City, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Tarkington on the 19th.
