Baseball Recap: Destiny Christian Beats Arkansas Christian Academy for Their Fourth Straight Victory

With a playoff win on the line, Destiny Christian rose to the challenge on Saturday. They never let the Arkansas Christian Academy Knights get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on four straight.

Racyn Hyden made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Destiny Christian is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10 otherwise. Hyden was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Carson Hardy and Jase Blackwell did most of the damage at the plate: Hardy went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI, while Blackwell went a perfect 1-for-1 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave Hardy a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Rose, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI.

Destiny Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Destiny Christian's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Arkansas Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

As of now, neither Destiny Christian nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
