One of the most notable came from Morgan Himes, who scored 20 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. The match was Himes' 11th in a row with at least ten points. Aliah Brumit was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Maplewood's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Heartland Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.
Maplewood won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Harding at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for Heartland Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against East Canton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
