They claimed a resounding 63-32 win over Heartland Christian on the road. Winning may never get old, but Maplewood sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Maplewood's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Morgan Himes, who scored 20 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. The match was Himes' 11th in a row with at least ten points. Aliah Brumit was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Maplewood's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Heartland Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.
Maplewood won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Harding at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for Heartland Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against East Canton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
