Ware Shoals never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against the McCormick Chiefs as they made off with a 16-0 victory. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 12 runs or more this season.

JP Medlin and Camden Moore made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Medlin struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Moore pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Medlin went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Moore went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That hit was Moore's first of the season.

In other batting news, Brayden Madden was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Goode, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Ware Shoals and bumps their season record up to 13-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for McCormick, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Ware Shoals will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chiefs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
