Pharr-San Juan-Alamo came tearing into Tuesday's game with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Economedes Jaguars with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

Nikki Jo Hernandez tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Arianna Lugo and Aubrey Garza did most of the damage at the plate: Lugo went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one triple, while Garza fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most home runs Garza has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Arieanna Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in ten consecutive contests.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.8 runs. As for Economedes, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8-1.

Coming up, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will head out to challenge Weslaco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so Weslaco's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Economedes, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Economedes Jaguars duke it out with Edinburg Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. They have given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
