Arcadia had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Torrance Tartars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Apaches have posted since May 10, 2024.

Gus Cooper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Arcadia's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Leo Peniche, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Arcadia pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Torrance, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arcadia will head out to square off against Burbank at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Torrance, they will venture away from home to take on South at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
