The Piedmont Academy Cougars will be taking part in a tournament against the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers  at 1:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams are coming into the  game red-hot, with Piedmont Academy sitting on  five straight  wins and Central Fellowship Christian Academy on nine.
Last Friday, Piedmont Academy was able to grind out a solid  victory over Gatewood, taking the game  42-31. Given the Cougars' advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings  (they are ranked 94th, while the Gators are ranked 299th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.

 Piedmont Academy's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Marissa Holder, who  dropped  a double-double on 16  points and 14  boards. Holder is also on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last 20 games she's  played dating back to last season.  Kylee Keck was another key player,  putting up 15 points.
 Meanwhile, Central Fellowship Christian Academy humbled  Covenant Academy with  a  58-31 victory. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six  contests by 23  points or more this season.
 Central Fellowship Christian Academy's win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 9-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.2 points. As for Piedmont Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
 Piedmont Academy came up short against Central Fellowship Christian Academy in their previous meeting  back in November, falling  79-70. Can Piedmont Academy avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
