Hillcrest proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by nine) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Greenville Red Raiders, sneaking past 7-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 on Tuesday.

Hillcrest is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Greenville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillcrest will square off against Woodmont at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenville, they will face off against Travelers Rest at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
