Neshaminy and the Indians are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Neshaminy Skins' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Council Rock North Indians at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Council Rock North took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Neshaminy, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Neshaminy didn't have too much trouble with the Tigers on the road as they won 52-38. Given Neshaminy's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Tigers are ranked 611th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Neshaminy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emeer Coombs, who scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Guy Horton, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Council Rock North came up short against the Golden Hawks on Tuesday and fell 49-38. Council Rock North has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Neshaminy pushed their record up to 13-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Council Rock North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Neshaminy against the Indians in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 63-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Neshaminy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
