Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ida Baker). Everything went their way against the Island Coast Gators on Thursday as the Ida Baker Bulldogs made off with a 62-38 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their 25-point performance the contest before.

Maia Berdebes went supernova for Ida Baker, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. Berdebes has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. J'Kayla Thomas was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.

Ida Baker smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

Ida Baker's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Island Coast, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Ida Baker wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-43 loss against Cape Coral on the 13th. As for Island Coast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-28 defeat against Babcock on the 13th.
