Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Auburn). They blew past the West Nodaway Rockets 14-4 on Thursday. The Bulldogs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024.
Mason Schultz made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits. Schultz was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.
In other batting news, Griffin Sikora was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brycen Meyer, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
The win got Auburn back to even at 3-3.
