Make it six blowout wins for the Indio Rajahs this season. They breezed by Coachella Valley at home to the tune of 91-45. The win was familiar territory for Indio who now have four in a row.
Indio got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Gonzalez out in front who scored 29 points. Gonzalez hasn't dropped below 15points for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Daven Thomas, who scored 19 points.
When it comes to explaining why Coachella Valley lost on Wednesday, one person who can't be blamed is Israel Garcia. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. Garcia hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games.
Indio has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Coachella Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indio will square off against Cathedral City at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cathedral City has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 27. Coachella Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Yucca Valley at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. One thing working in Yucca Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
