The Community Charter Titans will head out on the road to square off against the Lakeview Charter Lions at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Community Charter is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Community Charter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 53-27 margin over Valley Oaks CES. The win was just what Community Charter needed coming off of a 67-39 loss in their prior game.
Community Charter can attribute much of their success to Jefferson Barahona, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barahona has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Antonio Chancon, who scored ten points.
Lakeview Charter suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Wednesday. They suffered a tough 57-33 defeat at the hands of Triumph Charter. Lakeview Charter has not had much luck with Triumph Charter recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Community Charter's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Lakeview Charter, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Community Charter might still be hurting after the 64-40 loss they got from Lakeview Charter in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Community Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
