After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Enumclaw, the Kennedy Catholic Lancers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Decatur and snuck past 49-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Kennedy Catholic has posted yet this season.
Kennedy Catholic found their leader in underclassman Gabriela King, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Burns, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Kennedy Catholic's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. As for Decatur, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.
Kennedy Catholic will head out on the road to take on Tahoma at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Tahoma is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games. As for Decatur, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kentridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kentridge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
