The Fort Bend Clements Rangers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Pearland 43-25. Given Fort Bend Clements' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Pearland is ranked 236th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Joshua Clark was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 19 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. Divine Ugochukwu was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Fort Bend Clements pushed their record up to 8-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Pearland, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Fort Bend Clements will face off against Langham Creek at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Langham Creek is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. Pearland is on the road again on Saturday and play against Heights at 9:00 a.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Heights focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
