Lipscomb Academy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Lila Jensen. The Mustangs came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Father Ryan Irish thanks in part to Jensen, who had 25 digs and four assists. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.9 digs per game.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (98-96) Lipscomb Academy actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-13, 25-21, 11-25, 16-14.

Lipscomb Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Father Ryan, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

After both having extra time off, Lipscomb Academy and Brentwood Academy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Mustangs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Father Ryan, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against St. Cecilia Academy on the 2nd.
