Oceanside Collegiate Academy had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.4 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They came out on top against the Covenant Day Lions by a score of 66-54. 66 seems to be a good number for the Landsharks as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyree White, who posted 11 points and six assists. Another player making a difference was Micah Huffman, who earned 14 points.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Covenant Day, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oceanside Collegiate Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Battery Creek at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Covenant Day, they will host Bradford Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bradford Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
