The New Hope Leadership Academy Gladiators were the 62-57 winner over the Providence Athletic Club Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. New Hope Leadership Academy fell 72-63 to the Panthers on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why New Hope Leadership Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sugar Eaton. Despite the final result, he scored 33 points. That was a full 52.4% of New Hope Leadership Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jailen Anderson, who scored 14 points.
New Hope Leadership Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Providence Athletic Club, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-10.
