 Even though they lost, South Garner  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive rebounds in 23 consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.
 Meanwhile, Middle Creek strolled past Fuquay - Varina with  points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game  56-40. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Mustangs.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Middle Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Yasir Hall, who  posted 20 points plus seven  rebounds and two  steals. Another player making a difference was  Brittain Queen, who  earned 14 points along with three  steals.
 Middle Creek's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for South Garner, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 South Garner beat Middle Creek 49-38  when the teams last played  back in December of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Middle Creek's  Obataobie Okafor, who  scored 24 points along with five  rebounds.
