They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lopez Lobos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lobos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  back in September.
 Donna couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Lopez a tough time in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 21-25, 25-14, 28-30,  15-5.
 Despite the loss, Donna still got an impressive performance from   Olivia Ramirez, who  had 19  digs and four  aces.
 Lopez's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Nataly Palomino led the charge by  getting 42  digs. Palomino is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 24 or more in each of the last four games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Paola Solis, who  had 14  kills, 11  digs,  and three  blocks.
Donna's defeat dropped their record down to 15-19. As for Lopez, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-8 record  this season.
 Donna does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lopez, after both having extra time off, they and Vela will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
