The Calhoun Falls Charter Blue Flashes will head out on the road to take on the McBee Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Calhoun Falls Charter is ranked 195th, while McBee is ranked 180th).
Last Monday, Calhoun Falls Charter came up short against McCormick and fell 55-43.
Meanwhile, McBee blew past Governor's School for Science & Math, posting a 84-26 victory at home.
McBee's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jakari Holloman, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Tyrek Wright, who scored 22 points along with four steals. Wright has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jasson Brockington, who scored 12 points.
Calhoun Falls Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for McBee, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.
Calhoun Falls Charter beat McBee 62-53 when the teams last played back in February of 2017. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calhoun Falls Charter since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
