The Box Elder Bees will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Northridge Knights at 7:00 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Box Elder's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The matchup between them and Viewmont wasn't particularly close, with Box Elder falling 63-47. Box Elder was down 53-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Box Elder might have lost, but man, Elijah Kersey was a machine: he scored 25 points along with two steals and two blocks. Kersey has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Isaacson, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Northridge unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Bountiful by a score of 83-80. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (61), Northridge still had to take the loss.
Box Elder's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Northridge, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11.
