Philip Mwawasi Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, St. Paul's Prep got the W thanks in part to Philip Mwawasi playing the best football he has all season. Mwawasi rushed for 285 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (132). Those 285 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
The victory snapped St. Paul's Prep's winning streak at five games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-4 record. Mwawasi will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Varsity Opponent on Friday.

Jaxton Miller Crosses Big Stat Threshold
While Dallas Academy might've come up empty on Friday, Jaxton Miller wasn't going down without a fight. Miller was unstoppable, rushing for 271 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.9 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 164 rushing yards per game.
Dallas Academy is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. Miller and Dallas Academy will face off against St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lukas Dibenedetto Turns in Another Game with at Least Three Passing Touchdowns
St. Paul's Prep was led to victory by Lukas Dibenedetto, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Dibenedetto rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 126 yards and three touchdowns. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Thanks in part to Ty Zimmerhanzel, St. Mary said goodbye to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season. Nobody could stop Zimmerhanzel on Friday as he rushed for 222 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. His longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.
St. Mary's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. Zimmerhanzel and St. Mary's will square off against Dallas Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Josh Maki Makes It Two for Dallas Academy
Another Dallas Academy player making an appearance on this list is Josh Maki. He rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 51 yards and a touchdown. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble, made six total tackles, and defended three passes.
