Softball Recap: Rogers' Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Rogers extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 8-5 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Shea Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

As for Shea, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Shea's part, Laurel Christian made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that Christian has launched this season.

Coming up, Rogers will head out on the road to challenge Narragansett at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Mariners have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven contests. As for Shea, they will be playing at home against Paul Cuffee at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Shea is facing Paul Cuffee at the right time seeing as Paul Cuffee is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
