The West Allis Central Bulldogs lost against the Greendale Panthers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. West Allis Central took a serious blow against Greendale, falling 69-31. While losing is never fun, West Allis Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 437th, while Greendale is ranked 180th).
Greendale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peyton Yoder, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Yoder has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Macey St Lawrence, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for West Allis Central and nudges their season record down to 1-12. As for Greendale, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Allis Central will stay at home for another game and welcome St. Francis at 6:00 p.m. on January 8th. St. Francis is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Greendale, they will be playing at home against Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
