Basketball Recap: Lancaster Piles Up the Points Against Hoover

Lancaster's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They breezed by the Hoover Patriots to the tune of 64-32. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 24 points or more this season.

Lancaster got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alena Wilson out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine assists. Wilson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last eight games she's played. Alexis Castillo was another key player, putting up 12 points and five steals.

Lancaster's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Hoover, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

Lancaster will venture away from home to take on Garces Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hoover, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-27 victory against Washington Union on the 30th.
