Douglas had won 14 straight games and Lauren Olsen did her part to make it 15 on Thursday. The Douglas Bearcats blew past the Burns Broncs, posting a 64-26 win with plenty of help from Olsen, who went 9-for-17 on her way to 31 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Her afternoon made it 40 games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Meyer, who posted ten points and three steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Despite the loss, Burns still got an impressive performance from Josie Barrett, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 71% shooting accuracy gave Barrett a new career-high. Shanessa Eklund also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Douglas' victory bumped their record up to 22-1. As for Burns, they are on a 22-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-23.

Douglas has already played their next match, a 56-35 win against Wheatland on the 7th. As for Burns, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-31 defeat against Rawlins on the 7th.
