The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Holy Cross in their matchups with Brentwood Christian: they've now lost three in a row.
Holy Cross lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dominic Hernandez, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Aaron Garcia, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds.
Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Brentwood Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-15 record this season.

As for Brentwood Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Veritas Academy on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Veritas Academy has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Brentwood Christian will arrive with three straight victories.
