Basketball Recap: Cristo Rey Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Cristo Rey needed a changed in momentum after dropping 16 straight games and they got it from Emelyn Santiago. The Cristo Rey Cougar had just enough and edged the KIPP Columbus Jaguars out 52-50 thanks in part to Santiago, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.

Cristo Rey will head out to challenge Tree of Life Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for KIPP Columbus, they will welcome Ohio School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. KIPP Columbus is facing Ohio School for the Deaf at the right time seeing as Ohio School for the Deaf is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
