On Saturday, New Hope Leadership Academy came up short against Horse Creek Academy and fell 59-50. New Hope Leadership Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, New Hope Leadership Academy still got an impressive performance from Sugar Eaton, who scored 28 points.
Horse Creek Academy can attribute much of their success to Wesley Green, who scored 22 points. That's the first time this season that Green scored 15 or more points. Kingston Hightower was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
New Hope Leadership Academy now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Horse Creek Academy, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Hope Leadership Academy on the road again on Saturday and play against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. Varsity Opponent has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 12. As for Horse Creek Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Fox Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
