The Harrison Central Red Rebels waltzed into their match on Monday with three straight wins but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 75-26 victory over St. Martin at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Harrison Central has managed all season.
Aujaylen Barron was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jashun McMillian, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and five steals.
St. Martin's loss came despite strong showings from Christian Dinh and Jaxon Walker. Dinh scored three points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Walker scored no points along with two steals.
Harrison Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for St. Martin, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-20.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrison Central will take on Hancock at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hancock has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
