After both having extra time off, the Wayne Trace Raiders and the Marion Local Flyers will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Marion Local took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wayne Trace, who comes in off a win.
Wayne Trace took a loss when they played away from home  on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Thursday. They won by a  set and slipped past Ayersville  3-2. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
 Wayne Trace was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-11, 20-25, 26-24,  15-12.
Meanwhile, Marion Local came up short against  Versailles on Thursday, falling  3-0. The Flyers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
 The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18,  25-17.
 Wayne Trace will have to keep a close watch on  Emersyn Mescher and  Sophie Salazar, a pair of players who had a big impact on Marion Local's prior game. Mescher  had five  digs and two  aces, while  Salazar  had eight  assists and six  digs.
 Marion Local's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Wayne Trace,  the  victory  got them back to even at 11-11.
 Wayne Trace might still be hurting after the  3-0 defeat they got from Marion Local  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2017. Can the Raiders avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
