Knightdale is 0-8 against Wake Forest since October of 2017 but things could change  on Friday. The Knights will square off against the Cougars at 7:00  p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Knightdale took a loss when they played away from home  last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Friday. They claimed a resounding  43-0 victory over Vance County. The Knights' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.

A big part of Knightdale's  win came down to the chemistry between  Jamel Perry and his top target  Jalen Moore. Perry threw for 322 yards and three  TDs on only 19 passes while  Moore picked up 170 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns. Those  322  passing yards gave  Perry a new career-high.  Dawson Mack also deserves some recognition as  he  hauled in his first  receiving touchdown of the season.
 Knightdale didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Vance County to a completion percentage of just 26.7%. The Knights weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 63.2%.
 Knightdale didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Zayshaun Bennett,  Jeremiah Joyner,  and  Moore picked up one apiece. Moore also  posted 170  receiving yards, which is notable because Knightdale is 2-1 when he posts  at  least  80  receiving yards, but 0-4 otherwise.
Meanwhile, while Wake Forest put up plenty of  points on Friday, the same  can't be said for East Wake. The Cougars blew past the Warriors, posting  a  42-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won three games by 35  points or more  so far this season.
 Knightdale better keep an eye on  Micah Olu. He was instrumental in Wake Forest's win, rushing for 158 yards and three  scores on only 12 carries, while also picking up 40 receiving yards and one  touchdown. With that strong performance,  Olu is now averaging an impressive 104.7  rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was  Landen Perry, who threw for 63 yards and a pair of  TDs.
 The  win made it two in a row for Wake Forest and  bumps their season record up to 3-4. The  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 47.5 points over those games. As for Knightdale, the  win was their first  at home , bumping their record up to 2-5.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Friday's  contest:  Knightdale has been excellent in the air this season,  having  averaged 267.7  passing yards per game. It's a different story for Wake Forest, though, as  they've been averaging  only 71.4  passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
 Knightdale came up short against Wake Forest in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024, falling  31-21. Can the Knights avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
