After a string of ten wins, Eastside's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Garrett Railroaders. The Blazers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Railroaders earlier this season, when they won 2-1.
Eastside started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-14, 25-20, 25-20.
Garrett found their leader in freshman Kaylee Gaar, who had 17 digs and two aces. Gaar is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Kaelynn York also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
