The Brewer Patriots lost against the Ardmore Tigers back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Brewer took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ardmore. Brewer has not had much luck with Ardmore recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Brewer still got an impressive performance from Lilly Grace Yancey, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Madisyn Freeman, who scored 14 points.
Brewer's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10. As for Ardmore, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Brewer will be playing at home against Lawrence County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ardmore, they will head out on the road to face off against Madison Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Madison Academy is on a three-game streak of home wins, Ardmore a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
