The Aberdeen Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Havre de Grace Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Aberdeen has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Havre de Grace will arrive with nine straight victories.
Aberdeen pushed their score all the way to 64 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 74-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Edgewood. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (60), Aberdeen still had to take the loss.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from DARION PARRIS, who scored 24 points along with two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of JOMAR CAMACHO, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, even though Patterson Mill scored an imposing 55 points last Friday, Havre de Grace still came out on top. Havre de Grace snuck past Patterson Mill with a 61-55 victory.
Aberdeen has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Havre de Grace, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Aberdeen suffered a grim 84-60 defeat to Havre de Grace when the teams last played back in January. Can Aberdeen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
