Pioneer barely beat Evergreen Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs were the clear victors by  a  15-2 margin over the Cougars on Thursday.   Cara Goodrich and  Olivia Krump did most of the damage at the plate:  Goodrich  earned three  runs and two  stolen bases, while  Krump  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Those  three  RBI gave  Krump a new career-high.  Riley Nevins also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
Pioneer's record is now 5-12. As for Evergreen Valley,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 7-9 record.
 Coming up, Pioneer is taking a road trip to  take on Piedmont Hills  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Evergreen Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Presentation  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
