Football Recap: Lake Mary Piles Up the Points Against North Miami Beach

Lake Mary won the last time they faced North Miami Beach and things went their way on Friday too. The Rams simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Chargers 45-13. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rams' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Chargers are ranked 155th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Mary to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Grubbs, who threw for 259 yards and four touchdowns. Grubbs is becoming a predictor of the Rams' success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Oshea Faison helped Grubbs out on the ground, picking up 76 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while also rushing for 37 yards.

The victory made it two in a row for Lake Mary and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.0 points over those games. As for North Miami Beach, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Lake Mary has already played their next contest, a 24-21 victory against Seminole on the 10th. As for North Miami Beach, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-13 win against Carol City on the 10th.
